Education
involves coordinating our Bible classes to provide a solid
foundation for scriptural study. Kensington Woods offers Bible
classes for all age groups, from Cradle Roll through Adults, on both
Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
The pre-school classes (composed of Cradle
Roll, two Year Olds and three & four Year Olds) begin learning at an early
age about God, Bible characters and prayer while beginning basic
Bible memory work.
The elementary aged classes (Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd
Grade and Grades, 3 - 6) study Bible events from
Genesis through Revelation while heavily emphasizing Bible memory
work. Each grade level has specific memory requirements.
By the time the student has completed the sixth grade, he/she
will have studied through the Bible three times! The material used in
all classes in the pre-school and elementary aged classes was
developed by our own teachers using one master textbook, the Bible.
All memory work is based on the King James and New King James
translations.
The Junior & Senior High (7th - 12th
Grades) classes are on a six year plan composed of an intense study of
the entire Bible while incorporating topical studies relevant to
their age group. By their graduation from High school, these
students will be well equipped Biblically to face the challenges of
the world.
Kensington Woods also offers a college age
class composed of students from several local colleges and
universities to further their Christian education while they pursue
secular studies. Adult classes are offered in one of two settings,
an auditorium and a classroom forum.
